More than 40 SUNY Oneonta students provided sports and exercise workshops to local children during a new “Little Red Dragons” program held from Nov. 28 to Dec. 5 at the Oneonta Boys and Girls Club (OBGC).
Family, friends, faculty and staff celebrated SUNY Oneonta’s Class of 2022 during Fall Commencement on a snowy Sunday, Dec. 11.
Through the generous support of donors to the "Grow. Thrive. Live, the Future of SUNY Oneonta" fundraising campaign, the college’s Student Emergency Fund is now fully endowed with gifts, grants and pledges totaling more than $1 million.
Following the approval of Interim SUNY Chancellor Deborah Stanley and the SUNY Board of Trustees, SUNY Oneonta will be designated as a university instead of a college beginning Jan. 23, 2023. The institution’s legal name will be “State University of New York at Oneonta.”
SUNY Oneonta celebrated scholarship and innovative teaching with its 2022 Life of the Mind faculty research showcase and Community of Scholars event. Research projects by more than 90 faculty members were on display during the two-day showcase, and five faculty and professional staff were honored for outstanding scholarship
