Research, Grants and Contracts provides pre-award support to faculty and staff seeking external funding and administers externally funded grant and contract awards to university faculty, staff, and students by providing services for funded projects through the Research Foundation for SUNY. Comprehensive services include:
- Pre-award (grant writing and application submission) support to faculty and staff seeking external funding
- Financial (purchasing and accounting)
- Human Resources (personnel and payroll)
- Reporting
- Compliance (Responsible Conduct of Research, Export Controls, facilitators for IRB and IACUC applications, as well as procedures and guidelines of sponsors, the State and Federal Government, SUNY and the Research Foundation for SUNY).
SUNY RF
The Research Foundation for The State University of New York (RF) is the largest comprehensive university-connected research foundation in the country. It exists to serve the State University of New York (SUNY) by providing essential administrative services that enable SUNY faculty to focus their efforts on the education of students and the performance of life-changing research across a wide range of disciplines including medicine, engineering, physical sciences, energy, computer science, and social sciences. The RF is a private non-profit education corporation that is tax-exempt under Internal Revenue Code (IRC) Section 501(c) (3).
