Fall 2024 Comprehensive Student Fees (12+ Credits)

  • College Fee ($25.00)- a mandatory fee required for all SUNY campuses.
  • Intercollegiate Athletic Fee ($234.00)- Supports 21 varsity sport teams, all indoor and outdoor athletic and recreation facilities, 3 fitness centers, and Intramurals and Recreation for all students.
  • Student Activity Fee ($125.00) - Student engagement is a hallmark of the Oneonta experience. The Student Association funds over 120 clubs and organizations that put on thousands of events each year including concerts, lectures, and hands-on activities. The activity fee also funds services to students including Oneonta Public Transit, Oneonta Student Emergency Squad (OSES), Campus Connection, and more... The fee also funds student media including The State Times, WireTV, and W.O.N.Y. 90.9 on-air or by stream, as well as the yearbook which will be mailed to all graduating students who request it.
  • Student Life Fee ($24) - supports programming for lectures, multicultural events, performing arts, movies, and other student-centered special events organized by A/C, the Activities Council.
  • Technology Fee ($235.50)- supports technology services to enable multiple course modalities as well as student information systems, software packages, secure networking, and other services to enhance the student experience and overall learning.
  • Student Health Fee ($196.50)- The Student Health Fee supports the work of the Counseling Center, the Health Center, and the Health Educator, all located at the Campus Health and Wellness Center. The Counseling Center provides individual counseling, group counseling, crisis services and outreach programs. The Health Center provides management of acute and chronic medical illnesses, minor injuries, and some preventative services. The Health Educator provides online prevention programming for all students that includes educational programs and social media campaigns.
  • Transcript Fee ($5.00)- billed each semester and allows current and former students to order transcripts at no additional cost.
  • Transportation Fee ($7.50) - Supports student transportation services on-campus, within the City of Oneonta, and to other areas in Otsego County served by Oneonta Public Transit, including Cooperstown.

**This rate is only available to out-of-state students enrolled in an exclusively online degree program, who a) for a given term is enrolled exclusively in online distance learning course(s); and b) has not had an address within the borders of New York State at any point between July 1 and June 30 of a given State-operated campus fiscal year.

Other Fees

  • Alumni Fee

  • ($18.50)- Payment of this fee is one of the criteria necessary to be considered for annual Alumni Association Scholarship opportunities. The fee also supports student research, career networking opportunities, academic excellence programs, library acquisitions, student-alumni connections grants, campus traditions, and a variety of cultural, educational, and social programs that enhance our campus. (included in undergrad)
  • New Student Orientation Fee

  • ($237.00) - New and readmitted students pay this fee. It is billed the first semester of attendance. This fee supports all orientation activities as well as programs offered throughout the semester to assist new students with their transition.
