5 Hour Pre-licensing Course

Program Description

This course fulfills the NYS 5-hour pre-licensing course mandated by the New York State Department of Motor Vehicles. Students must successfully complete this course before scheduling a road test. Students that successfully complete this course will be awarded course certificate (MV-278). You must provide certificate number when you schedule your road test.

Course registration and payment are required in advance. Payment will not be accepted at the door! Please be prepared to pay with a credit card at the time of registration. Be sure that you have a valid email address and register the name of the student attending the class. The student's spot in the class will be confirmed by email upon registration and payment.

• MUST HAVE AND BRING A VALID PERMIT TO PARTICIPATE IN PRE-LICENSING COURSE. IT IS REQUIRED TO ATTEND CLASS!
• NO SHOW or ARRIVAL AFTER 10 MINUTES INTO COURSE REQUIRES NEW REGISTRATION AND NEW PAYMENT. NO EXCEPTIONS!
• ONLY PARTICIPANTS WILL BE ALLOWED IN THE CLASSROOM.
• STUDENTS MUST ATTEND BOTH CLASS NIGHTS FOR 2-PART CLASSES, TO COMPLETE THE COURSE.

Required supplies for this program:

• Please bring your valid permit, your own pen, and paper. There will be several short breaks, so food and beverages are allowed during break times.
