SUNY Oneonta welcomes a freshman class of over 1,000 students each year. We look for well-rounded applicants who show the potential to succeed academically and the desire to get involved in our campus community. SUNY Oneonta is now test optional. We'll consider your scores if submitted, but they aren't required if you're applying for admission.

Whether you’re transferring from a small community college or a large university, Oneonta is a great place to continue your academic journey. In fact, 30% of our full-time students began their studies at Oneonta as transfers.
